MR Mid Length Launch Night Recap

Hey Guys

Just want to give a quick recap on an history making night. It all started on a cool crisp Friday afternoon as the sun was slowly descending and the salty dogs came crawling in from the woodworks. The magic soon happened with the launch of Novocastrians finest ambassador, Mark Richards dropping his new mid length stick.

The night was filled with many flavoursome tins brought in by the fabulous modus brewery, lucky door prizes were plentiful and generously given out by co-owners Mick and Tim of Slimes Newcastle (with the cheeky pizza to cap it off at the end of the night). The icing on the cake was Taxi’s Q & A with the man himself Mark Richards, as he broke down the finer details of the mid length and what goes into making his one-of-a-kind twin fin shapes.

Fans were able to live out their childhood dreams managing to snap a few photos with MR himself whilst being able to pick his brains out about all things surf. To cap it off a lucky grom picked up his new forever stick of a custom MR board with added flames for extra speed. The night was a roaring success as all seven of MR’s resin tinted mid-lengths were sold, with the colour variety making any art enthusiast salivate at the mouth.

As the evening was ending, and people’s wallets seemed to be drying up as quickly as the modus beers, MR quickly smoked bombed out like the superhero he is, and the slimes crew were left to tidy what was left of the battlefield of sales.
