The Slimes Newcastle Wave of the Winter 2024 event period kicks off on April 1st! (We've learnt our lesson about pumping waves in April so this year we are starting a month earlier).
We are stoked to be running the Slimes x Modus Wave of the Winter for the fourth year in a row and can't wait to see who scribes their name into local surf folklore alongside Daniel 'Mullet Lord' Brown (2021), Gus Nicholson (2022) & Trav Lynch (2023). Besides the immortal glory, we’ve got some epic prizes to give away again - details below. The champion will one again be judged by our very own 4x World Champion - Mark Richards & announced during the presentation night at the Merewether Modus brewery in September.
We will also be fundraising for local Charity Surfing the Spectrum at the presentation and there will be some amazing raffle prizes up for grabs. Adding to all that fun, the public will once again vote to anoint the Peoples Champ Award (Tim promises to design a draw where it can't be a Gus Nicho vs Gus Nicho Final again).
